Dale Byrd, pastor, headshot

Rev. Dale Byrd – Pastor

Pastor Dale joined the Double Springs Church family in April 2024. Prior to that, he pastored 9+ years after 20+ years of youth ministry. Dale loves the Lord, loves people, and does not want one person to miss out on eternity with Jesus. A transparent pastor, who preaches the word of God in a simple straight forward way that everyone can understand, he is a servant-leader who sincerely cares about others and desires to be a blessing. Loving kids of all ages, he makes special efforts to connect with them.

His dearest partners in ministry are his wife Linda and their children: Lydia and son-in-law Julian, who live locally and are active in the ministry at their church; Hannah, a nurse at ECU Health in Greenville, N.C., who is active in ministry in her church and community; and Caleb, who is a carpenter working for Beam, Edward, Brooks Construction and currently lives at home. Caleb is active at Double Springs Baptist Church and often uses his many talents serving the Lord.

Dale loves and cherishes his wife and often says he “out punted his coverage”. Linda is a gifted nurse, a committed and loving wife and mother, and a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. The couple, along with the kids, enjoy when they get to serve the Lord together.
